In fact, when I started doubting Christianity, it was in part because of some of the issues I read in the Bible. Plus a lot of other religions have religious texts where people in those religions would argue similar things about their God or gods.

Even if in all other aspects they are a loving and good person. My mom had special candles. For years I would beg her to burn and enjoy them. In her final days, I finally convinced her to let me light them for her to enjoy. For heaven’s sake, burn your special candles, wear your nice clothes and use your good china. So many of the “nice” things we own were gifts given to us with memories of being and feeling loved. Love yourself enough to enjoy them! I moved so many times I became a minimalist. Don’t have to clean much and enjoy my space a lot more.
