Eddie Murphy is the proud father of 10 children, who range in ages from 1 to 30. And now he’s also a grandpa.
Yikes! Wow! Awesome. How did you react?
The comedian was on the “Ellen” show Thursday and talked about the many responses he gets to having 10 children.
“Does it seem like a lot to you, or does that seem OK?” DeGeneres asked.
“No, that seems OK,” the 58-year-old actor responded.
“Men kind of look at me like, ‘He’s crazy! How much did that (expletive) cost?’ ” he said. “And women, it’s kind of like there’s something sexy about it I think. ‘Eddie Murphy must be doing his thing.’ ” he joked.
Murphy welcomed his youngest Max last November – the second for him and fiance Paige Butcher, who also share daughter Izzy, 3.

He is also dad to five children with his ex-wife Nicole Murphy, and three kids from prior relationships with Paulette McNeely, Tamara Hood and Mel B, aka Scary Spice of the Spice Girls.
Murphy, who starred in hits like “Coming to America” and “The Nutty Professor,” is making a bit of a “comeback.”
He recently played real-life legend Rudy Ray Moore in “Dolemite is My Name” and is working on the sequel “Coming 2 America.”
He previously told USA TODAY that his large family helps him with his stand-up material, which will come in handy for his upcoming stand-up special.
“The last time I did stand-up, I had no kids, I had never been married and I was 27 years old,” Murphy said in November. “I’m 58. I have 10 kids. I’ve been married and divorced. So I have so much stuff to talk about.”
