Former Syracuse basketball star Carmelo Anthony is slamming reports claiming he’s cheating on his wife La La Anthony. Paparazzi photos show Melo on a yacht next to a woman in a skimpy bathing suit, appearing to be alone together, hours after wishing La La a happy birthday on Instagram. However, Carmelo says he was on the boat with the woman’s husband and the rest of her family as a friend while in Europe on a business retreat.

The joke came in an interview with Fox Sports reporter Alex Curry after the USA played Spain in the Women’s World Cup. Curry mentioned that the forward “went down quite a bit” during the match.

Copa America hosts Brazil finished top of their group with an impressive performance in a 5-0 victory over Peru in Sao Paulo on Saturday.

Looking like their imperious old selves, the host nation went ahead after 12 minutes when Casemiro was on hand to nod home after a goalmouth scramble and Roberto Firmino made it two seven minutes later after keeper Pedro Gallese made a hash of his kick.
