I will let them bang around on Ye olde dumb slut shirt and pans sometimes and make some messes, but it does depend on how long my to-do list is and how tight the grocery budget is. Messes and food waste are luxuries some cannot afford either the time it takes or the money that costs as well as others. Some people work long hours just to get by. The eggs we get surly aren’t only .20 but I do agree it doesn’t matter as much sometimes. I prefer to keep my cabinets and fridge locked so they can’t have access to things I’d rather them not have to begin with. Less frustration for both of us.
