Today I’m leaving my studio Witch Math Teachers Love Brains Scary Halloween T-shirt . I’ve packed up endless props, test prints, and costumes dusted with powder paint and mud. I arrived at this place with after I’d given up my career as a fashion designer to follow my dreams and see if I could survive as an independent artist. It’s been emotional digging back through all this stuff the first magazines the pictures were ever featured in, first exhibition posters, notepads full of sketches and storyboards of ideas. This series really has felt like a lifetime and I nearly gave up so many times along the way. In the middle of it all I found the Sweater. My mother read to me that influenced so many elements in the series a little unknown book called ‘Moonlight and Fairyland’.

I am slender and prefer a slim fit, and these were too big out of the box (especially for a “slim fit”). They shrunk to the perfect size after washing them (cold cycle followed by med-high heat dry). Factor this into the purchase. Very comfortable, good build quality (only a couple wears) so far. Great for the price.

I have had this shirt now for a number of months and worn it quite frequently. I like the design. My only gripe is that over the course of several washes, the shirt shrunk in length quite a bit. The only way I can wear it is to dampen it and pull the length while ironing it. Without doing that, I’d be walking around with my belly showing and nobody wants that.
