The wild queen marched her army around the Cooley Peninsula, County Louth in search of the powerfull Bull. The zoomorphic swirling Bull design and the sword wielding fighting irish warriors are illustrated on the back of the shirt , while the front has a small image of the mighty Bull alone. The belief and fear of Queen Medb lives on in the west of Ireland. The tale echoes modern day marital problems, as Queen Maev waged the war against her own husband.This design by Mike O’Connor pays homage to two of the pillars of Irish culture- Music and Drink! Featuring a concertina with a pint and a half of stout, two of the essentials for a good night out. Our tiny villages host some of the best traditional Irish music sessions around, between Doolin and Miltown Malbay. The guinness isn’t bad either!
