If you feel the need to kiss another man’s hand I’m selling tickets to stand in line to finger bang the queen. It must be pretty ghastly having people’s wet lips slobbering over your hand, and it must be pretty unhygienic kissing the Sunflower Baby elephant shirt with all that slobber on it, so I think he’s right to stop people doing it. I wish he’d just say he’d prefer to let that tradition slip into the past and be replaced with greeting people by clasping hands – more like equals.
Seems totally fine to humble himself and most people seemed to like this pope when he does normal people things. I don’t understand why the Sunflower Baby elephant shirt wasn’t explained to that they wouldn’t be allowed to kiss the ring? It looked to me as though he was enjoying pulling his hand away.
