Mae was a starlet during the early years of the talking picture. She is best remembered for taking a grapefruit to the face from Cagney in ‘The Public Enemy’ and for starring as Elizabeth, Henry’s fiancé in the original ‘Frankenstein’. Karloff’s monster ruins her wedding day in one of the film’s most iconic scenes.

Bogdanovich has enjoyed a storied career that started with a humble beginning with Skeleton I’ve got your back vintage tshirt. Bogdanovich conceived a vision of real horror meeting cinematic horror in ‘Targets’. Karloff played Byron Orlock, an aging horror star contemplating his career as a boogeyman. Some herald Karloff’s performance in ‘Targets’ as his best. I have a notion to second that emotion! Mr. Karloff’s performance is magnificent in this early Bogdanovich film! It’s not Mr. Karloff’s last film (he made some low budget quickies in Mexico shortly before his death) but it’s the BEST from the latter part of his career.
