I mean, it wasn’t like I tried to hide it I was there with my frizzy, mousey-brown curls and my goddamn lace jumpsuit but still. It was nice to see he respected that; respected my desire to stay in my world, just as I respected his. It was at my father’s house, but I think this story is still valid. My parents have been separated since I was three, and when I’d visit my dad it would often feel like I was just dropping in on a ‘friend’ due to the nature of our relationship.

About five years ago, I had been with my boyfriend for Santa Claus scan this shirt. The relationship was completely dreamy and like nothing I had ever felt before, it was true love. It had come after I had been stuck in an abusive relationship for two months, the reason it was so short luckily was because my new boyfriend had managed to communicate with me in a way that got through whilst I was trapped with this other guy. I managed to hear him through the confusion and get myself out of that situation. It was more complicated than that, but it’s another story really. Let’s just say he played a big part in how I got away.
