A couple of things come to mind. Pennywise Corgi Halloween shirt, after she was about ten, it was my older sister in the kitchen. She liked to cook and was good at it. Mom not so much. But the dinner that I thought every household enjoyed every so often was what we called “breakfast for dinner. This would have been a big breakfast for anyone with eggs, smoked sausage, grits, cheddar cheese, and stewed tomatoes plus home made biscuits with honey or toast with jelly more likely the biscuits. I was surprised to find out that not every household in the world did this.

The third thing is not something that was not made but was very much a Pennywise Corgi Halloween tshirt. My family went out to dinner on Friday nights. I was born on a Saturday and, if what I was told is correct, I was in a booth at Eb’s restaurant the following Friday I don’t think I ate much that night. When my mother was ill and could not go out, I would bring dinner in. I was surprised to find out that many of my peers’ families did not do this. Of course there were a whole lot more stay at home moms when I was growing up.
