Outlier makes great travel clothing and the ultrafine merino might be my favorite. This is always my go-to know I’m hiking, biking, climbing, or just plain on the move—which means this is always in my bag.

The superfine merino wool fibers are just 17 Mommy Is My Favorite Name Mother’s Day shirt .5 micron thick (that’s super small FYI), soft to the touch, and great at both insulating you when it’s cold and cooling you down in the heat. No, really. I wore this while hiking through the blazing sun at noon and cruising through town for tapas on chilly evenings. It’s surprisingly versatile. This is an all-star for active travel, but also looks fantastic just walking around the city. If you have the means to upgrade your travel wardrobe, pick up an Outlier merino and enjoy top of the line comfort and performance. Honestly, Outlier and Unbound both qualify as quick dry, but if you’re looking for something for truly wet and wild environments and you only have a few bucks to spend you’ve still got a lot of options. My favorite quick dry is the Bonobos Softest Performance Tee for sheer wearability (with bonus style points). It’s a slim fit cut so it’s great for hiking and sports (no extra material), and the unique blend of means this jersey knit will feel like your favorite but dry like a polyester performance champ.

My son had a 12 hour practice for band camp where he was marching with a bari sax in July in Georgia. I don’t know if others are familiar with the smell of a 14 year old boy, but the sweat will make your eyes burn. His section decided to wear yellow for one of the theme days, and Walmart didn’t have any. I ordered this and was glad to have paid a little extra for it. It helped with sweat control – and stench. If you have to sweat a great deal, this is the right shirt for you!

I have a few of these shirts. The Vintage Cali Post card in navy, Vintage Cali Championship in navy, Americana Collection Black/White Flag/Black, the Humor Graphic All Man/Black & the Rugged Outdoor Collection Route/Black. These are all labeled on the listings as modern fit & they are. Fit is subjective so I’ll try… I’m slightly between Large & XL but closer to large with an athletic shape, but not bulky. In my experience with Hanes 100% cotton I purchased the XL because they shrink. These all fit like a large after washing in cold & drying on low. Modern fit so not baggy but not too slim of a fit. Somewhere in-between, living in the comfort zone but the shirt fits like I care type fit. Being modern fit, the sleeves don’t protrude off your arm & the chest/waist areas don’t fit like shapeless blocks making you look like you are wearing a direction arrow. It’s also not so close fitting that your buddy is going to ask why you are wearing your sons shirt. These are good shirts that last a good while & are generally very inexpensive. Hanes cotton shirts always, eventually, lose their shape after a while & sort of stretch out but they do last a long time making these a great value. If you really like a print you should buy a couple & save one for later because they do discontinue often. I hope this helped you in your venture to find a decent cost effective shirt.

These shirts are great, the price was what stood out and then I had medium to even low expectations on them and the quality of them are top notch! I love the feel of these shirts, the pocket and logo is small and subtle but enough . Great shirts, Good for anything! Casual wear, getting dirty or work. I ended up getting 4
