Today I’m leaving my studio I Paused My Game To Be Here shirt . I’ve packed up endless props, test prints, and costumes dusted with powder paint and mud. I arrived at this place with after I’d given up my career as a fashion designer to follow my dreams and see if I could survive as an independent artist. It’s been emotional digging back through all this stuff the first magazines the pictures were ever featured in, first exhibition posters, notepads full of sketches and storyboards of ideas. This series really has felt like a lifetime and I nearly gave up so many times along the way. In the middle of it all I found the Sweater. My mother read to me that influenced so many elements in the series a little unknown book called ‘Moonlight and Fairyland’.

They’re fine, undershirt-quality undershirts. I was hoping for a white outershirt tshirt. That’s what I wear under my business clothes, because they feel nicer. This isn’t that. This is a really expensive undershirt. No tag, comfy, baggy, so an ideal undershirt, but not as good as just getting a white outerwear tshirt from like Gap or something.

Not a fan of the way this fits but after a couple washes in warm water and dry with heat is seems to fit a little better. Heavy awkward fit.
