This past December/January, a team from Revelation Church built a I asked god to make me a better he sent me my awesome wife shirt for Rosa Martinez Amador, a single mother raising two children. The home was sponsored by Pastor Olivia Arias. After the build, Pastor Olivia shared this with us. “I thank God for allowing me to be part of the ministry of Casas por Cristo. It has been a great blessing for me, my ministry, and for families in need in our community. As a result of the construction of the home for Rosa, her family and two other families have come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior.” Olivia ministers in a small town about 25 miles from Acuña where we have the opportunity to serve from time to time as a ministry. Because of this build and these families coming to know Christ, Olivia was inspired to start a mission church in Acua alongside one of the families. As a result, 20 people have received Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Pastor Olivia says ” I thank God for the ministry of Casas por Cristo because I asked god to make me a better he sent me my awesome wife shirt  them and their volunteers, people are being saved.” This past October, Nick Wille, one of our Acuña field coordinators, was married to Sylvia Matus. Nick and Sylvia met on a Casas por Cristo build a few years ago, and that trip sparked a relationship. They are now living and serving together as part of the CpC team. While Nick serves full time at Casas, Sylvia serves as a school counselor at one of the elementary schools in Del Rio. It has been a big transition for Nick and for Sylvia learning to live as husband and wife as well as learning how to serve together and what that all means for ministry life.
