Product Description

This being Chanel Houston Texans Stroud, Mixon, Dell, Collins & Diggs T-Shirt it was not any old concrete rooftop, but a performance space atop Cité Radieuse, Le Corbusier’s 337-apartment “vertical village”. The block, with its distinctive facade of colourful circuit-board graphics, was built in response to the postwar shortage of social housing in the city and is an icon of visual storytelling that has become a city landmark. Virginie Viard, the Chanel designer, chose it to represent the “very strong sense of freedom … and of everyday life” in Marseille. The event was made a little grittier than Chanel had planned as heavy rain and blustery winds forced guests to huddle under umbrellas. (It was, many guests agreed, colder and rainier than Manchester in December.) The collection, timed to coincide with holiday-wardrobe shopping, was clearly intended for a sunnier forecast. Immaculately blow-dried hair was instantly dishevelled by the wind, and models in crochet shorts, broderie anglaise camisoles and silk dresses looked thankful for the down-to-earth touches of flat shoes and hoodies as they walked stoically through the drizzle.

Fashion justice Houston Texans Stroud, Mixon, Dell, Collins & Diggs T-Shirt solutions come from the communities most impacted by Big Fashion’s greed, which is why I am so excited about the Or Foundation’s Speak Volumes campaign. It’s led by the second-hand community at the Kantamanto market, in Accra, Ghana, who work tirelessly to cope with overproduction. Speak Volumes is demanding industry-wide accountability on annual production numbers, and is calling on all fashion brands to disclose their production volumes. In November, brands including Lucy & Yak, Finisterre and Stripe & Stare all disclosed their annual production volumes. This is a win for accountability as we look to develop data-driven policies that cap the amount of clothing Big Fashion produces. I’m excited about how enthusiastic and inspired young people are about conscious fashion and doing things differently to my own generation. When I started in this industry I would be constantly asked (in a quizzical way) why I focused on ‘sustainable fashion’. Now, younger people are asking me why there are fashion brands and organisations who aren’t doing things in a more conscious way.
