Tim Severin’s heroic reconstruction of the voyage in the 1970s proved that Brendan may indeed have reached America an amazing 9 Centuries before Columbus! The large image on the back of the shirt depicts a fearful moment described in the Navigatio.

These shirts are definitely good quality T-shirts, the material is thick enough that they can be used by themselves as an every day shirt or as a under-shirt. I didn’t find any frayed threads or holes on them and they appear to be decently made. The issue I have is that that they claim to be “slim-fit”, but these shirts are definitely not slim-fitting at all. They are slightly baggy around the chest and waist, and they are also much larger overall than most shirts of the same size. I have yet to wash and dry them so I’m hoping the shrink a bit so that they are not so baggy on me. Besides the sizing, these shirts are great!

The size I bought turned out to be too large but since I wear these under my uniform shirt I can roll up the sleeves a little and use them anyway. they do boost the warmth level of my clothing.
