Today I’m leaving my studio Happiness Is Waking Up With A Brit Shirt . I’ve packed up endless props, test prints, and costumes dusted with powder paint and mud. I arrived at this place with after I’d given up my career as a fashion designer to follow my dreams and see if I could survive as an independent artist. It’s been emotional digging back through all this stuff the first magazines the pictures were ever featured in, first exhibition posters, notepads full of sketches and storyboards of ideas. This series really has felt like a lifetime and I nearly gave up so many times along the way. In the middle of it all I found the Sweater. My mother read to me that influenced so many elements in the series a little unknown book called ‘Moonlight and Fairyland’.

Jasper was super kind and efficient in reaching out to me when there was a little mishap with the shirts in stock. I love it so much and have gotten lots of compliments. Color and size seem true to advertising. (I have an XXL in the light pink. I’m ~5’7’’ and broader, and it is a good oversized fit for me and my body type.)
