I was tired even before getting up from the bed. I remember, before diagnosis one day I asked my husband to stay home. Because I couldn’t trust myself with my kids and especially the baby girl who was 8 months old at the time. I feel ya. So I have been treated for a lot of things before my diagnosis. I’m still not in remission and my autoimmune disease has been active for years. Pain, joint deterioration, insomnia, fatigue, headaches, brain fog and had 6 colds last year alone. Being on immune-suppressing drugs make me even more tired but necessary. But I’m not crazy, or antisocial.

It’s the disease. Everyday things are a Groot hugging yarn I crochet but my favourite hobby is collecting yarn tshirt. Instead of pushing myself like before. Now I do what I can do and if I have to rest or sit down for a bit I do. I no longer can work and hope to get my disease in check and hopefully enjoy some of my new early retirement from healthcare. My joint deterioration is not reversible but hopefully, we can slow it down. I would like to get back to some kind of physical activity in the near future. Be kind to yourself and learn your own pace and routine. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or get help if your budget allows. I was stubborn and still am and pushed myself into total exhaustion. Be there for your family first. Housework will always be there regardless! I wish you luck and remission!
