When the story was shared with me 10 plus years ago, that was my first question. However, the moral of the story isn’t about the actual book. They’ll never let you down the way a man will. I am could all the time during all four seasons. As long as I can have my head and arms covered, I am much warmer. I bought these hoping they were mid-way on the heaviness spectrum and they are perfect. I have a few female long sleeve t-shirts but they are not the length I wanted nor the thickness or heaviness for warmth. These are not as heavy as some of long sleeve shirts I wear outside … nice in the middle. I washed them immediately and did not see any shrinkage. I love them. I wear them mainly under a short sleeve night gown or over shorts. They work well.

Has the same fit and quality as my short sleeve hanes undershirts. I use them for the winter under my dress shirts for a little added layering. They do shrink as they are 100% cotton, but still fits.
