The Reid Park Zoo elephant enclosure is enormous and includes an indoor elephant care center and both open and secluded areas for the elephants. When Nandi was born, she stayed with her parents in the elephant care center, or the “back paddock” until her Mom and Dad felt comfortable allowing her in the main viewing paddock. This is just the loveliest sweetish thing to see. Beautiful if this doesn’t put a smile on your face and warm your heart then I don’t know what will? But I have to agree with other’s that it’s a shame it’s in a zoo and not in an animal safety reserve.

But what an Elephant you are my sunshine sunflower shirt and she does look happy god bless her and mum. The baby elephant is cute. But surprisingly this came up when in November there is an election to vote in half-percent sales tax for this Tucson zoo. I like that little baby elephant little baby like that having fun probably nobody told him nothing but it was in his Mama and Daddy’s jeans for working in the circus and he come out like that. How absolutely adorable full of personality. I’m so glad she is safe from poachers who would kill her mother and leave her to die. These are God’s creatures!
