The story is told in the Gaelic Dontayvion Wicks Catch Shirt . Epic poem Táin bó Cúailgne and stars Cú Chullain the champion hurler and Ferdia his best friend. The wild queen marched her army around the Cooley Peninsula, County Louth in search of the powerfull Bull. The zoomorphic swirling Bull design and the sword wielding fighting irish warriors are illustrated on the back of the shirt , while the front has a small image of the mighty Bull alone. The belief and fear of Queen Medb lives on in the west of Ireland. The tale echoes modern day marital problems, as Queen Maev waged the war against her own husband.This design by Mike O’Connor pays homage to two of the pillars of Irish culture- Music and Drink! Featuring a concertina with a pint and a half of stout, two of the essentials for a good night out. Our tiny villages host some of the best traditional Irish music sessions around, between Doolin and Miltown Malbay. The guinness isn’t bad either!

    The quality of the shirt and transfer is very high, and shipping was fast. The image, however, is “distressed,” which is not mentioned in the description. To me, it looks strange because there are small blank spots within the image. I contacted the seller, and they were very gracious, got back to me very quickly, and offered a refund, but I chose to keep the shirt anyway. My husband thought it was a great shirt, and he was able to overlook the spots. I would definitely order from this seller again, but I wish the description mentioned the “distressed” look.
