The design was inspired by the illustrations that often appear in early Christian gospel manuscripts scuh as the 9th Century Book of Kells. We like to pronounce these as the ‘Belly Birds’, The smaller bird is similar to the bird on the old Irish penny, it likes to accompany the big bird! An Original design adapted by Lisa Van Eyck, in the style of the illuminated Irish gospel the Book of Kells. Do not order a size up like the other reviews suggest unless you like to swim in your t-shirts. I read a lot of reviews and felt confident that I should order a size up. With every brand I always wear a large but felt it may be tight as previous reviews suggested, was I wrong with that. I ordered an xl And I could fit into it twice. Order your normal size and you’ll be happy. These are nice thick cotton shirts.

It’s perfect! It’s a quality T-shirt from Hanes but not one of those heavy cotton type T-shirts. This one is just right and very soft. the size seems just right. I wish they had a bunch more with different prints cause I’d order some more!
