Although I don’t agree that every teacher or educator is like this, there are some sadly that can do this. I remember I was always a very good student and loved math but once algebra hit me I had such difficulty with it. I turned in partially done work and asked for help. We lived with my grandparents at the time. My mother sister and me. The male teacher was a parking lot attendant in the mornings and asked me to meet him there for help.

Which I didn’t feel comfortable doing outside of a Camping bring a compass it’s awkward when you have to eat your friends tshirt. So my mother and grandmother appalled when I explained. And we met with the teacher and head of the math dept. both males. They said how I purposely wasn’t doing my homework and was failing tests. And then he denied telling me to come to the parking lot for help! A grown man lying in front of a student who supposed to show respect and admires. I was in tears during the meeting. And my Nan and mom left very angrily at how they treated us. I transferred out of the class to a lower geometry class which I was happy with and the teacher was amazing. So it totally depends on the person and their heart honestly. Some I don’t know why they teach if they can be mean and not have a student’s best interest at heart.
