Neal Reasland this is the right Bourbon may not be the answer but it helps you forget the question tshirt. A good bourbon needs nothing, at most a little water or an ice cube. I think it depends on what you are looking for in a cocktail. Some like it sweet. Other like it not fancy. Obviously from the variety of answers. I did have an amazing bourbon drink at brunch once that was bourbon, Prosecco and blackberry puree. But I’m traditionally a bourbon neat guy most of the time. Becky, I actually kinda came up with it myself. I mix a 5 to 1 ratio, maple syrup to bourbon, and use really good, thick cut bacon. I brush the bacon on both sides with the mixture and place it on a sheet pan with lips. Then I place another pan on top to keep the bacon from curling. Then bake to doneness I want.
