I will always be thankful and grateful to those who donate their blood I would not be alive today without all the blood transfusions I’ve had over the last 40 years. Hopefully just by sharing this post might get someone to donate. I donated not long ago and was pretty much the same, I was the only one there around my age.

Recently got tattoo so need to wait, but Bears beets Battlestar Galactica tshirt! Same here, a lot of people who lived in UK are excluded because of a supposed risk from BSE. Time is big factor though, the blood lorry used to come to my workplace in the UK. Maybe when the current working generation retire they will grow into giving blood too. I don’t think that’s the correct reason. I have lived in the uk all my life and have donated 5 times. I’m 39. The only times I’ve been turned away was when slightly anaemic & because most recently I hadn’t waited long enough in between giving blood.
