There was a production in London a couple of years back Audition rehe arsal tech week opening night and cast party theatrelife shirt  I found it both dated & nasty, gay men tearing each other to pieces in a way which doesn’t chime with the 21st century, I think. Can’t wait for a review. The movie on which it is based is seriously dated. All the characters are self-loathing because of their sexuality. I sure hope they did some rewriting. I saw this play in 1969. Later the movie seems very sad, dated and one big stereotype of sad drunken gay people. It’s from a different time. We’ve moved on, thank God. I’d love to see it and certainly meet these accomplished young actors. The movie made me feel uncomfortable with the depiction of some the characters. Curious what they do with it.
