Leon Redbone acclaimed 1970s musician admired by Bob Dylan dies

NEW YORK (AP) — Leon Redbone, the acclaimed singer and guitarist who performed jazz, ragtime and Tin Pan Alley-style songs, died Thursday, according to a statement released by his family.

No details about his death were provided.

Redbone’s career got a boost in the early 1970s when Bob Dylan met him at the Mariposa Folk Festival in Ontario, Canada, and praised his performance. Dylan said that if he ever started a label,

“America’s Got Talent” has major changes in store for Season 14, according to the show’s executive producer and judge, Simon Cowell.
Joining Cowell at the judges table will be “Talent” staple Howie Mandel, actress Gabrielle Union and dancer Julianne Hough. Mel B and Heidi Klum have departed the show, Cowell said in an interview with USA Today, due to busy work schedules.

(CNN)After eight years the world is finally about to find out how “Game of Thrones” ends. We know some characters will die. There will probably be dragon fire. A lot of us won’t be happy with the outcome.

Beyond that, it’s anyone’s guess. That trailer for tonight’s episode told us very little (basically we know the Dothraki are still riled up and that Daenerys finally disembarked from Drogon).

DJ Khaled’s eleventh studio album out today, Father of Asahd, is yet another display of his comprehensive Rolodex. Cardi B, SZA, Meek Mill and Beyoncé all make appearances. Tucked squarely in the middle is “Higher,” the first official song from Nipsey Hussle released posthumously since he was shot and killed in March.
