I love this movie. I really wish the creator could have made A Hayao Miyazaki saved my childhood sunset tshirt. the story can go in many ways. As he stated during an interview, “Many of my movies have strong female leads-brave, self-sufficient girls that don’t think twice about fighting for what they believe in with all their heart. They’ll need a friend, or a supporter, but never a savior. Any woman is just as capable of being a hero as any man.”We love Studio Ghibli movies!!! So much that my 10 years old wanted me to make her Princess Mononoke costume for Halloween this year. I love Studio Ghibli films for this very reason. My kids and I, including my son, have had several discussions about how great it is to have awesome, strong, brave girls be the lead in movies. I love watching his films with my 5 year old daughter (Ponyo is her fav) and 9 year old son, (Spirited Away) . Great role models in them.
