The Justice Department on Tuesday charged 50 people — including two television stars — with participating in a multimillion-dollar bribery scheme that enabled privileged students with lackluster grades to attend prestigious colleges and universities.

The Detroit Lions continue to build Patriots Midwest.

The Lions are slated to be adding pass rusher Trey Flowers on a five-year contract, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reports. The deal, which reunites Flowers with coach Matt Patricia, is expected to be worth more than $16 or $17 million per season.

Conor McGregor arrested in Miami Beach, accused of smashing fan’s phone

Former UFC champ Conor McGregor was charged with two felonies after an altercation with a fan early Monday morning, according to the Miami Beach police.

McGregor allegedly “slapped” a phone out of a man’s hand. The fan had attempted to take the 30-year-old Irish fighter’s picture outside of a Miami Beach nightclub around 5 a.m. Monday.

McGregor then allegedly stomped on the mobile phone several times, according to the police report.

Jan-Michael Vincent, star of the hit series “Airwolf” and ’80s hunk, died last month in Asheville, according to published reports.

He died at Mission Hospital, according to a death certificate obtained by TMZ and KTLA. He was 74.

New York (CNN Business)Charlotte Russe will close all of its stores over the next two months. The women’s clothing company joins a growing group of retailers that couldn’t survive bankruptcy.

The company didn’t want to shut down. It filed for bankruptcy protection a month ago and announced plans to close only 94 of its 512 stores nationwide. The goal was to use the bankruptcy process to shed debts and sell to a buyer who would keep it in business.

Sen. Martha McSally, R-Ariz., said Wednesday that while in the Air Force, she was raped by a superior officer.

The dramatic revelation came as she testified before a Senate Armed Services subcommittee hearing on sexual assault in the military.

“I was preyed upon and raped by a superior officer,” McSally told the hearing in her opening statement.

She testified that she blamed herself, adding, “I was ashamed and confused.”
