The Grammys announced its nominations for the 2020 ceremony bright and early on Wednesday and, per usual, it’s a mixed bag of delightful acknowledgments (Michelle Obama! Nipsey Hussle!), oddities (see: whatever’s happening in the rock field), and puzzling omissions across the board — namely, Swift’s absence from Album of the Year.
