Los Angeles Stay-At-Home Orders Will ‘With All Certainty’ Extend Into July

The stay-at-home orders, initially issued in March and still in place in Los Angeles, are fully expected to be extended for the next three months, according to the county’s public health director, Barbara Ferrer.

More than 240,000 of L.A. County’s 10 million residents have been checked for the virus and roughly 12% — more than 32,000 — have tested positive.

NEW YORK — The owner of J.Crew is filing for bankruptcy protection, the first major retailer to do so since the pandemic forced most stores in the United States to close.

More retail bankruptcies are expected in coming weeks with thousands of stores still shuttered, though states have begun a staggered restart of their economies.

Sam Lloyd, an actor best known for playing lawyer Ted Buckland on Scrubs, and also guested on such popular series as Seinfeld and The West Wing has died. He was 56.

Lloyd’s agent confirmed his death to Deadline.

The actor was diagnosed last year with an inoperable brain tumor, which subsequently was revealed to be metastatic lung cancer, which had spread to his liver, spine and jawbone. His diagnosis came just weeks after his wife Vanessa gave birth to their first child.
