Today I’m leaving my studio St. Louis Cardinals Albert Pujols the machine shirt . I’ve packed up endless props, test prints, and costumes dusted with powder paint and mud. I arrived at this place with after I’d given up my career as a fashion designer to follow my dreams and see if I could survive as an independent artist. It’s been emotional digging back through all this stuff the first magazines the pictures were ever featured in, first exhibition posters, notepads full of sketches and storyboards of ideas. This series really has felt like a lifetime and I nearly gave up so many times along the way. In the middle of it all I found the Sweater. My mother read to me that influenced so many elements in the series a little unknown book called ‘Moonlight and Fairyland’.

I had a wonderful Ukrainian young lady as my moving consultant for 2 international moves to Europe; over 300 items and nothing was ever broken or even damaged. She worked tirelessly to get tons of documents in order, schedules correct, and see that everything was perfect. SHE was unbreakable, as well as her company. She loved the tee-shirt so much that she grew up, and she wore it at work to show everyone. The fit was perfect.
