Sorry I’m late I got here as soon as I wanted to shirt We traveled till Ambala via train and from Ambala took a volvo for Manali. Now to reach Leh there are two ways: via Leh-Manali highway or via Leh-Srinagar Highway. We had chosen the Leh-Manali route and in our return trip we had traveled on Leh-Srinagar Highway to catch our return train from Jammu. So you can do the same or any other way Then we stayed in Manali for one day and in the next day early morning we started our journey to Leh via a private SUV. Now the traveling cost will vary with the car here, so it’s up to you how much you want to spend.

And if you want to be really frugal I suggest you use the Sorry I’m late I got here as soon as I wanted to tshirt and clearly it won’t matter in which car you travel as the roads are very treacherous and the level of uncomfortableness will be same for each type of vehicle. PS you can also opt for a bike journey, but make sure everyone is ready for it as it will be tough. It will take a day’s journey to reach Leh and won’t be a easy one. Lack of oxygen, undulated roads, cold weather but when you’ll look outside of your car you’ll forget all this uneasiness.
