We had an appointment in Philadelphia at Temple University Hospital to see doctors and we live in Indiana. Some Awesome Amazing people flew us in four private planes round trip with no cost to us. They paid for the fuel out their own pockets. It was called lifeline then and I never even heard of them. The American Red Cross put my Momma up in a five-star hotel and we had a shuttle back and forth to Temple University Hospital.

The Seniors the one where they graduate 2020 shirt and my Momma went sightseeing and we visited the Independence Hall, liberty bell, Betsy Ross’s house. She was on her speed days from her Chemo four days on four days off so she ran me ragged. The joy I saw on my Mommas face will always remain with me. Sadly I had to cut my Momma off life support at the age of 23 in 1999 after she caught a VRE infection after her stem cell bone marrow transplant in St Louis. My momma never flew before and truthfully was a small town girl but everyone’s kindness will never be forgotten.
