Michèle Lamy posted an adorable meta selfie with her husband. designer Rick Owens, both beaming in icy Tallinn, Estonia. Were they taking a chilly vacation in the Baltic region? Not quite. Owens and Lamy were in town to visit rapper Tommy Cash, the Estonian musician known for his absurdist Soviet-themed dystopian music videos. Cash and Owens were in talks to launch an exhibition titled “The Pure and the Damned,” which opens to the public today in the city’s Kumu Art Museum and will run until September 15.

Cash, who has long wanted to enter the art world, describes the exhibition as “Darkness meets the light praise Zeus Sarcastic Atheist Humor Quote Joke Pun T-Shirt . Initially, Owens had merely suggested using Cash’s music in the show, but after meeting the rapper in Paris for dinner, the designer invited Cash to walk in it. Shortly after that Spring show, Kati Ilves, who would go on to curate “The Pure and the Damned,” saw Owens’s Milan exhibition “Rick Owens: Subhuman Inhuman Superhuman,” which included a retrospective of his work and a selection of his furniture designs, and proposed the idea of a collaboration with Owens to Cash. “I wrote Rick and he answered pretty much straightaway,” says Cash. “And the rest is history.”The exhibition provides a look into the creative, often bizarre workings of each artist’s brains. One sculpture with an orb of hair around its head is based off of the Fall 2016 Rick Owens show. Another standout Owens influence comes from the Spring 2016 collection that featured models carrying models: In this exhibition, a Rick mannequin— with a slightly greenish pallor—holds a mannequin on his shoulders. There’s a model of a sleeping Cash as well—complete with his signature pencil-thin mustache—carrying another mannequin on his shoulders. “I had a format that I composed in a retrospective in Milan—I asked him to violate it [the exhibition],” Owens writes.

What do I mean? To put it simply, these shirts come in a wide variety of colors and styles, but are made of different materials: either 100% cotton or cotton/poly blend (heather). One of these you should embrace with your whole heart, and the other should be avoided at all costs. Let me explain.
First off, I’ll just say I’m tall and lanky, so this is just my review for how the shirts fit me. But I generally wear a large or medium, and most shirts fit me just fine. I have purchased several of these two-pack Amazon brand shirts and I can say pretty solidly that the soft, heather versions of the shirt all fit great. Slim fit, but not “skin-tight” fit. The bottom hem hits below the waist but not below the butt (at least on me.) Very comfy. Decent cut. Nice room in the shoulders. I wear them all the time. I own the dark gray, light gray, orange, and navy blue versions of these heather shirts.
HOWEVER. The all-cotton version of these shirts are pretty miserable. The material is stiff and somewhat thick. The cut is terrible. It is simultaneously too tight in the shoulders but baggy around your neck. It bunches up under your arms uncomfortably. Poorly made. I only wear these shirts around the house. When I tried it on for the first time, my wife literally said, “What’s wrong with the neck and shoulders of that shirt?”
So to summarize: heather version of these shirts are great, especially for the price point. 100% cotton version should not be worn by anyone in my opinion.

They’re what I needed and are perfect. I am a female, 5ft 2 and around 140Lbs. Needed them for work. I work in the sun with heat going up to around 115°-120° so just needed them to protect/cover arms. A little loose.. exactly how I wanted them. Already washed 3 outta the four and they came out just fine. Didn’t shrink or stretch out. Good buy!

Brought these to wear under my work shirts. I’m 6’1″ 290, but not really big in the gut area, shirts fit nicely. Long enough to tuck in without coming untucked. Haven’t washed and worn, probably could have gotten away with the 2x if I wanted a slightly snug fit. 2x sleeves may have a better fit. Overall, good shirt.
