V-neck travel are also great for layering since you can’t see the collar.

The stink factor is real, and can make or break my decision to wear a travel Mechanic You Know That Little Thing Inside Your Head That Keeps You From Saying Things Shirt . I need that last for days with minimal washing or maintenance. In fact, I took one black Cottonweight Merino Outlier, a tank top, and a long sleeve on my six-week hike across Spain. And I only wore the long sleeve when the merino was drying on the clothesline. And that only happened once or twice a week.I’ve picked up cheaper “budget” travel in the past that look like they have all the bells and whistles to keep me fresh and dry, but at the end of the day I smelled like a yeti. There’s a reason I’m such a stickler for high quality fabrics like merino—you can’t compromise when it comes to smell. If you smell, no one will want to be your friend. I’m serious. Don’t be that guy or gal. You’re better than that. Quality fabrics are the most important factor for choosing a travel not the cool colors or features.

Finally one that has real length sleeves and body. I normally wear a large in real men’s sizes, but many times have to get an XL in those metro or unisex sizes. I’m 6’3″ and 44 inch chest, 200lbs and the large goes a good 6-8 inches below my waist, has plenty (but not excessive) room in the shoulders and the sleeves don’t look like I’m wearing too small a size. My new favorite shirt.

I didn’t go looking for the shirt, but it found me. It was an impulse buy while browsing for other clothes and I’m glad it went into the shipping cart.

The fabric feels like a light cotton, but with strength to it. It’s not thick, but also doesn’t feel cheap.

The print seems like it’s going to hold up fine for regular use and washing. Sometimes you find a shirt and the print peels or fades quickly. This feels like any other quality print you’d find at a department store from a big name brand line.

I’m really happy with the purchase and think this could be a very easy go-to casual shirt for me in the future.
