After his brief hospitalization, I was assigned as his home health occupational therapist. This man had a right rotator cuff repair as well as right wrist and right elbow surgery. I treated this client for approximately one year. The program included specialized exercises at least 3x weekly in addition to a personalized and intensive home exercise program focusing on his right shoulder, elbow, and wrist which this client followed diligently.

I modified durable medical equipment for the bathroom for this tall gentleman’s special needs to maximize safety and efficacy in bathing. During the last therapy session, this special man was overwhelmed with gratitude and desired to give me a special gift in appreciation for my assistance in his recovery. I explained to him that he had already given me the only gift that I was willing to accept. He was fully functioning again and interacting with those he loved.
