Danes get along with each other better than many countries I’ve visited or lived in. A person is either willing to help their fellow citizens or not. I’m tired of the “I’m sick of paying taxes for others” versus “I want to live in a society that cares about its fellow citizens”. You can’t change a persons mind when it comes to this issue. I’m happy to be liberal and don’t mind paying taxes to help those less fortunate than myself.

We have many private sector programs in the US that care for those in need Just a girl who loves Labrador shirt. The problem with government programs is they are taken advantage of. Many vendors and services who contract for government work gouge them and people who are fully capable of caring for themselves take advantage of programs not intended for them. I’d much rather keep most or all of my own money if it were possible and help those I who I choose to help than give it to someone else and hope they don’t waste it. I work too hard for my money to allow the government to tell me how to spend it.
