years and I finally got us out. Physical wounds heal quickly, but the mental wounds, I am not sure they will ever heal. That fear is always there lurking in the back ground. Emotional abuse is a long lasting scar that is hard to heal and in some cases never does heal, it effects future relationships because your scared someone will do that to you again and you just don’t want to go through that again Easier said than done. You have to build up courage to stand up for yourself and be able to walk away…alive at that…it’s the hardest thing you will do but at the end it will be worth it. I know…I lived it and was able to walk away, yet the scar will always be there.
