Shame on people writing comments without reading the content first! She’s missing the point. The point is that it was the harassers/abusers/rapists who were defining the sexuality of their victims. How the victim felt about their sexuality or intended level of sexuality they were intending to project, or not project, was irrelevant.

She described her reality but is out of touch with the reality of I really do need to stab something shirt However, the debate is healthy, and while it is fair to criticize, she should not be attacked and called names. I had read this piece, among many of the other voices speaking out about HW as well as the Industry, and I appreciated MB’s words as much as those from other actresses speaking out. She spoke her truth and I see no reason whatsoever for any backlash. I read it and I thought it was intelligently written. I guess I have to read it again because I missed the part where it was victim blaming. It was written honestly and from the heart. It didn’t seem to me that she was taking away from these women, only adding another perspective–another facet, to the whole picture. At least that was my take on it.
