One struck me as particularly nasty. I need Grumpy cat so this is heaven I hate it tshirt While I 1000% blame the victimizer in EVERY case of sexual harassment, and abuse, what I take away from what she wrote is that women must always expect bad behavior, which is why they don’t walk home alone from a bar at 3 am or leave their doors unlocked. It’s extremely sad that women have to live in safe mode all the time, and aren’t free to just be and do, without fear. She’s right though. The vast majority of men aren’t going to commit sexual assault but there will always be a deranged minority who will. Those aren’t the types who pay attention to sex ed courses or care for “no means no”. To protect oneself against the worst-of-the-worst, a bit of precaution never hurts. Yes, you can take all the precautions in the world and still be sexually assaulted. However, the possibility is not the same as probably. The likely hood of assault goes down when precautions are taken – it’s impossible to entirely prevent it but it is possible to reduce the likelihood of it.
