Every single time I see one of my Game of Thrones I am a cool nurse unless Winterfell needs me tshirt– teacher friends post one of those types of articles, that’s what I tell them. Like it would be useful for students to know the basics of filling out a job/ college application but the unfortunate truth is we just don’t always have time in face of all the other curricular demands put on teachers and budgetary issues most schools are facing and just how many inane things that, in general, educators all know aren’t working.

At the end of the day, we try our best to make the most out of the time we get to spend with our students but there’s no perfect formula on how to best serve all students and until people higher up realize this we’re not going to be able to effectively do some of those life skill type things.
