If you read into it it really sounds like the sheriff and the city have a grudge to this old man. I’m sure at one point a prominent member of the city made him an offer to buy it so they could turn it into a business and he told them no and now they are coming at him…also on a side note it has been a swimming hole for a very long time, not just 3 years. Geez looks like a beautiful place and very nice of this man to share it.
