The book was written by Steele while collecting memory fragments of the person believed to be one of the people involved in the origin of the Hawaiian shirt – Mrs. Margaret Young. She also shared more about the fact that in 1926, Gordon provided a lot of this shirt design to the University of Washington and since then the Aloha shirt has gradually become known to many people.
