Today I’m leaving my studio All bodies deserve equal healthcare shirt . I’ve packed up endless props, test prints, and costumes dusted with powder paint and mud. I arrived at this place with after I’d given up my career as a fashion designer to follow my dreams and see if I could survive as an independent artist. It’s been emotional digging back through all this stuff the first magazines the pictures were ever featured in, first exhibition posters, notepads full of sketches and storyboards of ideas. This series really has felt like a lifetime and I nearly gave up so many times along the way. In the middle of it all I found the Sweater. My mother read to me that influenced so many elements in the series a little unknown book called ‘Moonlight and Fairyland’.
