NEW YORK — Michigan State senior tight end Matt Seybert is not in uniform for Friday’s Pinstripe Bowl against Wake Forest.

Seybert was on crutches in a sweatsuit with a brace on his right knee as the Spartans went through pregame warmups at Yankee Stadium. He has started 11 of MSU’s 12 games this season and is third with 26 catches, 284 receiving yards and three TDs

The Spartans already are depleted at tight end without junior Matt Dotson (right Achilles). Redshirt freshman Trenton Gillison and freshman Adam Berghorst are next on the depth chart, with converted sophomore fullback Max Rosenthal also an option in an H-back role.

MSU also has a number of offensive linemen still out with injuries: Tyler Higby, Kevin Jarvis, Luke Campbell and Cole Chewins all are not in uniform. Junior center Matt Allen took reps with the starting offense after missing the past four games, with true freshman Nick Samac filling his spot while Allen was out.

True freshman Devontae Dobbs also is in uniform, and he would burn his opportunity to redshirt after playing in four regular-season games, the maximum allowed under NCAA rules for true freshmen.

Dantonio also said Thursday that WR Darrell Stewart would be a game-time decision after missing the past four games with a leg injury.
