Maralee Nichols gives birth amid Tristan Thompson paternity suit

Maralee Nichols — the personal trainer who is suing Tristan Thompson for child support — revealed in a Friday Instagram post that she has welcomed a baby boy.

“Took this beautiful photo last night of my new town!” she captioned a photo of the sunset in Marina del Rey, Calif. “I’m learning to focus on the beautiful things around me instead of all of the negative things.”

She continued, “Things feel very hard right now but I know eventually, this will all be over and my baby boy and I can live a happy life. I made a mistake, but I’m human. I won’t be posting any personal photos for awhile as I don’t want to hurt my family. Thanks in advance for understanding.”

Reps and attorneys for both Nichols and Thompson were not immediately available when contacted by Page Six for comment.

The news comes the same day it was reported that the basketball player, 30, appeared to threaten his alleged baby mama, 31, to drop her paternity lawsuit against him in exchange for $75,000.

In a text message purportedly sent to Nichols, obtained by Page Six in a legal filing, Thompson allegedly told her that she will receive far less money if he’s ordered to pay child support under Texas law.

“You are aware that I’m retiring after this season,” the text read, allegedly claiming that he plans to leave the NBA in 2022.

“So in terms of support it will be whatever is required monthly for someone who’s unemployed. It’s texas so it will be only a couple hundred dollars. So you better off taking this 75k I’m offering cause you won’t get nothing near that with having a kid with a father who’s unemployed.”

Nichols’ attorney argued in the filing that Thompson purposefully filed his complaint in Texas to “save” money on potential child support payments. Meanwhile, Nichols has relocated from Houston to California, where her child was born. Per the filing, Texas law would have no jurisdiction on the child support ruling.

Tristan Thompson and Khloe KardashianNichols’ baby was allegedly conceived on Thompson’s 30th birthday in March, when he and Khloé Kardashian were still dating.

Thompson — who shares daughter True, 3, with ex Khloé Kardashian and son Prince, 4, with ex Jordan Craig — purportedly ended his text to Nichols by saying her child support filing would, at best, result in her raising “a baby with a father who has zero involvement with the child and a few hundred dollars of child support a month.”

The baby was allegedly conceived on Thompson’s 30th birthday in March, when he and Kardashian, 37, were still dating.

According to court docs obtained by Page Six, Nichols claims Thompson wanted her to get an abortion.

“It is also apparent from the context and substance of these communications that they are from Tristan to Maralee, which reflects that Tristan is addressing the parties’ relationship, and even with respect to her pregnancy insisting that she get an abortion and threatening that she will get next to nothing with lesser support requirements in Texas,” the documents read.

The document states that Thompson denied sending any of the messages but also claims “his contact information is present in the messages.”

In a declaration, Thompson copped to having sexual intercourse with Nichols multiple times at a hotel after the pair attended a party together.

He later filed a request, obtained by Page Six, demanding she take a paternity test in July. By Nov. 15, she had not taken a test. Still, Thompson said in a subsequent filing that he would pay child support if she was able to confirm that he was the father.
