Two of Lady Gaga’s French bulldogs were stolen Wednesday night in Los Angeles, according to reports. The pop star’s dog walker was shot with a semi-automatic handgun during the robbery.

The dog walker is “recovering well,” a source told CNN.

Lady Gaga is offering a $500,000 reward for the return of the dogs, Koji and Gustav — with “no questions asked.”

The news no doubt has shocked both the 34-year-old Gaga and her millions of fans. Earlier this week, the most remarkable thing going on with the famously outré performer was that she was now pitching her own brand of Oreo cookies. Guilty Eats critic Sarah Perchikoff wrote that Oreo and Gaga “could have done something amazing with unique flavors but they just covered a plain cookie with vibrant colors. It’s incredibly disappointing.”

The high-profile marketing campaign for the Gaga Oreos highlights her Born This Way Foundation, which is dedicated to helping young people “create a kinder and braver world.”

Washington Post food critic Tim Carman, this very morning, also weighed in on the Gaga cookies, noting that, in her new album “Chromatica,” Gaga examines the emotional trials she faced early in her career as she tried to hold onto her sense of self while being objectified.

“The Lady Gaga Oreo gives you a representation of that artificiality [she’s worked to overcome], in cookie wafer form, tinted a shade of pink that you rarely see in commercial foodstuffs.”

Carman added that the soft creamy inside of the cookie is green, a color “associated with harmony, restoration, peace.”

Lady Gaga, in Rome working on a movie, is now hoping for peace and harmony to win out with the safe return of her beloved dogs.

The Los Angeles police are searching for the person responsible for the attack and robbery; the shooter reportedly sped from the scene in the 1500 block of North Sierra Bonita Avenue in a white vehicle.
