The NFL loves itself, that much we all know. And if you didn’t know, well, where on Earth have you been?

There’s no more proof of the NFL’s love for itself than what it’s doing today – holding its annual schedule release day. A fake day of celebration that the league created to give itself even more attention during a time when nobody really needs to be paying attention to the NFL.

It’s like for one day a year the NFL becomes a desperate Instagram influencer trying to get likes by showing more of itself than it really needs to.

BARCELONA, Spain — It is six years since a team without Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo won the Champions League and, if you conducted a straw poll of the Manchester United team torn apart by Barcelona’s magician in the Nou Camp during a 3-0 quarterfinal second-leg defeat Tuesday night, few responses would suggest the sequence will end this season.

Ronaldo, courtesy of Ajax’s stunning victory against Juventus, will not be in Madrid for the final June 1,

AUGUSTA, Ga. — Brooks Koepka has this look. Guys know what is. We all have it. It’s what we look like in the dark, or in the shower behind a fogged-up door. Supermen! We’ve all seen ESPN’s Body Issue. The beauty of the human body! Bring on the cameras. I’ll bring my laptop, placed strategically. Centerfold!

Thing is, Koepka has it for real. We saw him in St. Louis last summer winning the PGA Championship and before that,

So it ends for Manchester United, as they lose 1-0 at home to Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal matchup.

Barcelona has its away goal, and United has a tall task ahead of them in the second leg. That being said, a 1-0 loss to Lionel Messi and Barcelona isn’t the worst thing in the world.

The game started brightly, but in the second half things seemed to stall.

There remains plenty of work to do for the Premier League leaders, who will be disappointed they were unable to gain a bigger advantage for next week’s second leg.

On a bitterly cold night at Anfield,

The Orlando Magic beat the Boston Celtics and clinched their first playoff berth since 2012, officially erasing the six-year-old stain Dwight Howard left on the organization.
It has to be nice when you can win a game when a player off the bench can be your leading scorer. But no one thinks that is a consistent winning formula. Certainly not for a playoff team.

It was this poor depth of scoring and reliance on supposed bit players that had almost every predictor doubt the Orlando Magic would make the Playoffs this year.
