NEW YORK — Michigan State senior tight end Matt Seybert is not in uniform for Friday’s Pinstripe Bowl against Wake Forest.

Seybert was on crutches in a sweatsuit with a brace on his right knee as the Spartans went through pregame warmups at Yankee Stadium. He has started 11 of MSU’s 12 games this season and is third with 26 catches, 284 receiving yards and three TDs

The Spartans already are depleted at tight end without junior Matt Dotson (right Achilles).

Despite playing in just one game this year, Antonio Brown nonetheless managed to be a dominant theme of the 2019 NFL season. So with the season’s finale two days away, Brown popped up once more.

According to Brown’s Instagram account and multiple reports, he was in the the New Orleans Saints’ facility on Friday. He posted a photo of a workout waiver and a video from the locker room — the waiver post was removed shortly thereafter.

Former Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is traveling to Seattle today to meet with the Seahawks, according to NFL Network reporters Mike Garafolo, Ian Rapoport, and Tom Pelissero. Lynch and the Seahawks are reportedly ‘open to a reunion’ in 2019.

Head coach Pete Carroll joined 710 ESPN in Seattle to discuss the possibility: “We’re going to give him a really good chance to come back and play for us.”

James Wiseman withdraws from Memphis, begins preparing for NBA draft

MEMPHIS – James Wiseman has formally withdrawn from the University of Memphis, the freshman star confirmed on his Instagram on Thursday.

Wiseman will immediately begin preparing for the NBA draft, he posted. The Tigers’ 7-foot-1 preseason All-American is viewed as a potential No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA draft, according to several projections.

The former East High star and Nashville native played in three games for the Memphis Tigers before being ruled ineligible by the NCAA.
