WARSAW – Women’s rights advocates in Poland divided International Women’s Day on Monday between reasons to celebrate and a strong sense that a long legal battle awaits them.

The Dallas Cowboys answered the offseason’s largest looming question with a simple announcement Monday.

Blake Griffin has cleared waivers and will now join the Brooklyn Nets for the remainder of the 2020-21 NBA season. Several powerful earthquakes hit near the coast of New Zealand on Thursday night and Friday morning, prompting tsunami warnings for New Zealand and tsunami watches for Hawaii.

The most powerful was an 8.1 quake that hit some 620 miles northeast of New Zealand on Friday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey said. Two earlier quakes registered magnitude 7.4 and magnitude 7.3.

There were no immediate reports of serious damage or casualties.

SpaceX launches and lands Starship prototype, which later explodes

WASHINGTON — SpaceX launched a prototype of its Starship next-generation vehicle March 3, landing it safely only to have the vehicle explode minutes later.

The Starship SN10 vehicle lifted off from the company’s Boca Chica, Texas, test site at about 6:15 p.m. Eastern. A launch attempt three hours earlier was aborted at engine ignition because of a “slightly conservative high thrust limit,” company founder and chief executive Elon Musk tweeted.
